Back to School

Tank-Weld Equipment delivered school supplies to the students at the Balcombe Drive Primary and Infant School for back to school. The school, which has approximately 160 students, is located in the Water House community minutes away from the Tank-Weld Group head office.

“The Water House community is near and dear to the Tank-Weld Team,” said Staci Neil, Tank-Weld Equipment Marketing Manager. “We always want to take care of our neighbouring community and the primary school was definitely in our sites for back to school,” she added. The TWE team met with Acting Principal Yvette Foster to assess the needs of the students to see where they could assist.

“The school has many needs so we were happy when the Tank-Weld team reached out to assist,” said Foster. “This time of year can be stressful for parents and students so any help they can get is a blessing.” The Tank-Weld Group has provided assistance to the school over the years with the installation of a basketball court and swing set.

“As a group we always give back to our surrounding communities and after speaking with Miss Foster and hearing some of the needs of the school we want to do more in the future to help,” said Neil. “This back to school initiative was just the start in revitalizing our relationship with the school and we will be looking into other ways we can assist.”

Students received packages with school supplies as well as some sports equipment for their PE classes.
